First Name:Laura. The Weapon X program did not give her a real name at birth, to further dehumanize her, but her surrogate mother named her Laura and told her this name just before she died.

Powers/Weapons: She is an enhanced clone of wolverine, she has 2 adamentuim laced claws in eatch hand, and one in eatch foot. She has super sences of smell and hearing, a healing factor that has tested to be more powerfull the Wolverine's, Stamina and agility to rival his as well. She also has martial arts training, and knows how to use a katana too. She also has experiance and training in infiliteration, she can use disguises to get people to allow her to get close to her targets.
(NOTE: her skeliton is not laced with adamentium like Wolverine's, she was too young when it all happened, if they had laced her bones back then, she would not be able to grow.)
History:
X23 is a clone of Wolverine, built by people from the Weapon X Corporation.
Durring the original Weapon X project, (specifically wolverine's own adamentium bonding process) Dr. Dale Rice was sneaking out of the Weapon X compound, with a briefcase full of samples from the project, when Wolverine came by in his berserker rage, and killed him.
Weapon X director Martin Sutter found the body, and the briefcase, and kept it for Rice's son, Zander.
Zander grew up, and joined Weapon X corp. as head of operations, to avenge his father's death.
Weapon X corp. was working on cloneing Wolverine, to make the perfect military weapon.
The 23rd chromozone in the DNA samples had been damaged in Wolverine's destruction of the lab, and so they brought in Dr. Sarah Kinney, the leading authority on mutant genetics, to solve the DNA problem.
Since it was the Y chromosone that was damaged, Dr. Kinney sugested they make the clone by doubling the x chromozone (which they had undamaged) thereby makeing the weapon female.
The idea was not even concidered. Weapon X corp. believed that it needed to be exactly like wolverine to work, and Zander himself wanted a male clone to take his vengance out apon.
So Dr. Kinney worked on her female clone in secret, while still trying to fix the y chromozone at work every day.
She sucessfully created the xx chromozone, female clone, and presented it to weapon x corp, saying that she could probably fix the y chromozone, in 6 to 10 years, but now they had a clone to work on and experiment with in the meantime.
Weapon X corp had no choice really, and niether did Zander.
As revenge for her treachery in the project, Zander made it so that Sarah Kinney had to be the surrogate mother for her clone, makeing her part of the experiment. She was impregnated with the clone embryo, and gave birth to the female clone.
After birth, X23 was raised as a weapon, everyone haveing any contact with her had strict orders not to treat her as a child, and to do nothing that would give her a sence of self.
Her sensei, Tanaka, broke the rules by speaking with her in japanese, he treated her as a person, figureing that noone at weapon x would be the wizer.
Unfortunetly Zander speaks japanese, and he knew of this deception. (and he had a punishment in mind that would have to wait untill the weapon was completely forged.)
To complete the weapon, they had to give her the adamentium feed, and that could not be done untill her mutant healing factor awoke, which usually happens around puberty.
Sutter grew tired of waiting, and gave Zander permission to bring about her mutant abilities anyway he wanted, Zander picked radiation poisioning. It worked, not only did it awaken her powers, it brought out her claws too, two on eatch hand, and one on eatch foot.
With her healing factor awakened, it was time to finish the weapon's construction, and Zander furthered his cruelity durring the adamentium bonding process. He made all other doctors leave the room while he removed x23's claws, one by one, with no anestisia, then he sharpened them, coated them in the indestructable metal, and put them back in her body.
Everyone was shocked when it took less then a day for her to heal physically, proveing her inhanced DNA to be more powerfull then the original doner, Wolverine. (they also theorize that the adamentium itself has an effect, makeing the healing factor stronger.)
Then her training as a weapon began again, and Zander finally got to punish Tanaka for his deceptions.
Zander was training x23 to a trigger scent, that would mark her target for kill, and he put the scent on Tanaka's katana blade, so that when he took it from it's scabbord durring their training session, it set her off to kill him.
Her first kill was her sensei, one of only 2 people who ever treated her as a person.
After it worked, she was put to work, killing royalty, godfathers, drugdealers, assasins, anyone for a price.
She killed under the cover of being a child, she is real good at infilteration.
Sarah, her surrogate mother, watched her turn completely into a weapon, and felt guilty. She whent to Sutter, to find out why she was killing so many, and Sutter revealed his total plan to her. X23's killing spree was advertising.
Sutter and Zander were makeing more clones, to sell to the highest bidders.
Sarah was horrified. She tried to fight it, and got told she was fired, and had to leave the project in the morning.
That night, Zander had x23 kill Sutter and his family, and he takes over the program. He sets x23 to kill Sarah later that morning, before she leaves the program for good.
But, before she kills Sarah, Sarah gives her the instructions to kill all of the project's fetuses, and then kill Zander.
Sarah thought that after Zander was dead, she could take x23, and they could have a family life together, but it was not to be, after x23 killed Zander, as she returned to Sarah, the trigger scent worked again, and she Killed Sarah, as Sarah was dying, she told x23 that her name is Laura, and that she loved her. X23 cried as she relised she just killed the only other person who really cared for her. She left with the whole project in flames, everyone invloved in the project was dead.
Sarah had contacted Prof X and Wolverine, and she was requesting their help, if she had lived, she would have taken x23 to the x-men, but when she died, it did not happen, and x23 ended up living on the streets.
To survive, She hooked up with a pimp named Zebra Daddy, and became a prostitute, handling his customers that were interested in mutilation. After alot of drama in that, she ran into the xmen, acused of killing some girl that she didn't, and Wolverine himself found out all about x23, and he felt sorry for her, and convinced the xmen to take her in.
She has no social skills at all, and Wolverine himself is working with her on that.
