Name: Rosalyn Raye
Alias/Code Name: Ronnie Raye, Ros, Lil-Missy-43, Missy Tech
Age: 17
Character Type: Binary-Bonded Human
Gender: Female
Alignment: Good
Appearance:
Personality: Rambunctious, Free Spirited, kind of 'spacey' at times, bit of a showoff, has a perchance to integrate on-line speak into sentences.
Likes: Computers, Computer Games, Anime, Grape Soda, Mochi
Dislikes: Major buzz-kills, Dead Zones, Thunderstorms (mess up reception), Fish, Trolls, the color pink, girly stuff
Strengths: Intelligence, L33t Haxxor and her Gaming skillz. She's also dependable and trustworthy... not one to turn her back on those who need her help.
Weaknesses: Hyperactivity & occasional bouts of L33t Speak can cause confusion and might compel allies to kill her. She's also a bit flighty, and sometimes doesn't take things as seriously as she should. Not being completely trained in how to use the suit can put her at a major disadvantage. Her people skills are also kind of lacking.
Powers/Weapons:
Ronnie Raye is a (somewhat) Normal human who has found herself 'Binary bonded', to a symbiotic mechanical organism of as-of-yet unknown origin, whom she affectionately refers to as 'Kanti'. While generally it hides out in her ever-present backpack... upon activation, it spreads out across her body through a wave of Nanites, constructing a 'guyver-suit' of the users subconscious design. While this is the primary form it takes, it can be adjusted to form what the user wishes.
In standard form, the Suit can fly reaching at speeds of Mk-3, can lift up to 10 tons, and is armed with forearm-mounted particle lasers. HOWEVER the suit is capable of upgrading itself by 'hardwiring' other weapons into it's systems, and can techno-Organically 'upgrade' other devices into weaponry.
One of the more amazing properties is it's ability to 'evolve' according to environmental changes. However, this ability is hampered by the users inexperiance... requiring it to 'trade off' functions to compensate. For example... if needed the Suit can adjust it's density to shield from incoming fire... however It becomes so heavy in the process it has to shut down it's flight capabilities, just as to increase it's speed it must 'lighten' itself by downgrading armor protection.
Kanti is equipped with self repair systems, which requires 'scrap materials' to be assimilated into the suit in proportion to the damage taken.
Kanti's own intelligence has yet to be measured, as it does not communicate by normal human standards, right now restricted to communicating through the binary link it has with Ronnie's brain. In instances when Ronnie is rendered unconscious, Kanti has been observed as going on 'Auto-pilot' to ensure her safety. In these instances, the suit is running at it's peak. While Kanti prefers to evacuate its host, it will violently engage perceived threats when either backed into a corner, or if the threat persists. At this point, with Kanti's tactical systems and firepower at the behest of what could be considered a mother bear defending her cub, it's generally best to just get out of their way.
On her own, Ronnie is a superb hacker and video game enthusiast.
History:
Rosalyn 'Ronnie' Raye has always been considered a little 'off'... never able to sit still, or really pay attention. She was never interested in 'Girlie stuff', but at the same time wasn't into stereotypical Tomboy actives like sports. Her niche has always been computers. First it was gaming, then when she was old enough her father let her help him fix up old computers. A computer programmer and member of the National Guard, he taught her how to build and program her own computer. It was after she had inherited her fathers PC, the computer that they had worked together fixing, that she took up another hobby; hacking. Many thought it was odd that a girl her age would rather spend hours playing games on-line than shopping or hanging out... her Mother simply called it an eccentric tick that she'd grow out of.
She didn't.
When her father was KiA in the Middle-East, she retreated from the real world. Rather than the usual teen dramas she was more fascinated with Foreign animation and comics. Her initiation into fangirliness had been complete... she practically lived in her room, playing games and watching Anime. Eventually her mother re-married, promoting her to 'big sister'. Something she likely wouldn't have noticed... if her step-brother hadn't gotten into her room and managed to break her PC. One of the last solid memento's of her father... something she'd been taking care of for a good decade, rubble.
She was not pleased.
Things got especially cold in that house... she wouldn't speak to anyone... even after she got a replacement laptop. She never even opened it up, never even took it into her room. The time she wasn't in school she spent working to salvage the computer. She went as far as to go scavenging for parts at several junkyards. It was on one such trip that her life changed.
One moment she was scavenging the CPU from a car, getting zapped by a slight static charge... the next minute something pounced on her from behind, latching onto her back. She blacked out for a little bit, but when she woke up she found herself clad in what she'd later enthusiastically describe as a 'guyver suit', a living suit she could actually 'talk' to. She soon found, one that she she could not only 'morph' to her own designs, but it could plug into other technological devices, and even assimilate other metals into it's frame. At first, she just used it as her own personal toy... but it was only after she used it to save people in a burning building she saw she could do more... not only could she live her life like one big video game, but she could follow in the footsteps of her father.
