((OOC: This is an intro thread for Bugly, and Jonny. And after the initial intro, it can be open to others in Graymalkin, X-kids especially, And Sidney will be needed at a point, I will be sure to let him know when he's tagged.))


Things sure have been different since the move to Graymalkin.
We still operate like a school, training our younger generations how to use their powers, and making sure they get a top of the line education otherwise.
But in the move, we are not primarily a school. The school things have taken a back-seat to Graymalkin serving as an 'embassy' for Mutant kind.
Scott's sure got allot on his plate, heading it all by himself, with Emma gone, and Jeannie outta comission.
With recent... events... the things no one seems to remember despite all the changes it has caused, Scott made me and Jeannie a team as School Councelors.
It's our job to take care of the kids on a more personal level than Scott himself can provide.
Jeannie seems to be even more out of it than usual today, asking me to get our newest kids settled into thier new home.
I leave her to continue her telepathic 'rest', and head on up to the main offices to do the job.
I open the door, smiling at the new kids,

Now, I've seen allot of unfortunet mutations in my life-time, 3-faced John, Beak, Anole... All the Morlocks... Robin when her powers activate. The list really does go on.
And it's a good thing I've seen all of that, it helps me keep my smile completely natural in the face of the first new kid. Who happens to look just like an anthromorphic bug.
Unlike most people who might flinch on full sight, it doesn't effect me at all. I move to shake his hand, gloves providing all the protection needed to keep my powers from taking his.
I turn to the other boy, shaking his hand as well, noticing nothing visual about what his mutation would be. He seems mostly normal by our standards.
After the first introductions, I head around the desk, typing a few keys on the computer, to see where Scott intends these guys to bunk, and other details to be sure the tour is helpful, noticing both kids are going to the same room. Sidney's room. One of the larger rooms, with a bunk bed already in place, as well as one twin bed. A perfect fit for 3.
We tend to stick the kids together for more than just the space it saves. It forces them to interact in ways that are good for growth.

Wow its taken like forever to get here!

Mom and Dad filled out the paperwork stuff last week, and then I had to go through and pack up my junk at the house, rubbermaiding it so that the maid of cat didn't stumble into it, get zapped again...Not my fault April didn't know I rewired the toaster...Never going to hear the end of that.

Course That was just the first part, cause I still had to decide what to pack for the trip here. MIB first additiona Wolverine, or the Spec Op costume with the absurd number of knives. Classic Sabretooth, or the one with the awesome manacle breaking action...Decisions decisions. I get most of my faves in though, stuffing them inside the blue rubbermaid case I decorated with a permanent marker, covering it with pics of my fave guys, and the odd polynomial equation. Mom gives me weird looks when I write math places. Lots of weird looks.

After that it was onto the electronic toys, new alienware laptop Dad got me for Christmas...he's still a bit upset about me modding it. I mean it was awesome and all, but seriously, an i70? I can do better than that...of course making it fit was a challenge...but I got that. Then of course I needed to replace the powersupply, steal some parts from the toaster for the casing...it still worked though. Not sure why April was so upset about that...weird.

Mom and Dad packed my best duds for the semester though. Slacks and dress shirts, my favorite navy and yellow ties, my sweater vest incase it gets cold. Even got my loafers...and the gloves. Mom and Dad said I need to use those if I go out. They say people might get a bit freaked by my hands....they aren't exactly made for handshakes.

Which makes it weird that the lady that came to meet me and the other new guy is wearing them too...wonder what she's got...looks kinda familar. I lean forward a bit, blinking as I listen to her speak. Her voice is funny, like something out of Gone With the Wind...which is like my Mom's favorite movie ever....really...really long...and The Butler guy says bad words, and acts like a jerk. Meanie.

We had pancakes today...on the way to work. Strawberry, with extra whipped cream. Yummy. Oooh! Oooh! And a banana milkshake. Sugar! Yummy.

So yeah...Lady is still holding her hand out to me....I should probably do something about it...I can just barely reach the hand from my height though...so I take care of that. Fluttering my wings just enough to pick up off the ground, straining to be high enough to shake hers, pumping it happily as I buzz. I know who she is!

She's Rogue! She can like...knock over buses with her feet..and fly! Really fly, like superman, not winged flight. Plus she can borrow other peoples super powers!

"Wow! Its awesome to meetcha miss Rogue! I have your trading card! Its nice to meetyou. lovebeinghere! So glad you guy saccepte dme, I love pets! Mom has a cat but i'm not allowed to play with her anymore. Stupid exploding toaster! It was supposed to be a teleporter! Mom said I could have a mouse if I got straight A's in school though! Do you have any sugar? I'm hungry. I just ate but I have a really high metabolism. Doctors said I'd probably go through it by the quart as an adult! I have your action figure! She has a jacket though...not molded either, but real! It used to be plastic but I lost it and mom sewed me another one. Is Wolverine here? I hear he has bones made out of steel, and he can smell really good. Does your computer have a dual core or quad core processor? I can upgrade it if you want. I like upgrading stuff. Its awesome. Have to remember not to use the toaster for parts though. What kind of pet does Sidney have? I like cats and birds, but I don't like dogs much. They always growl at me. Its not very nice. I can fly, just like you, but not as much, and also I have wings, and also I had pancakes with lots of strawberries on it."

It was a long dull Bus two days and two transfers on a greyhound stopping for the layovers gave him time to be by himself which helped since the lady who sat next to smelled like tuna. Besides that the seats sucked he could barely get any sleep at night. Only thing John liked was he was able to eat all the junk food between his old home to his new one.

A Ipod or something like that would have made the trip a laptop would have meant the world to him. All his books were in a long box and that was for the best he would hate any of them to be damaged or lost he would have to find a new comic shop once there. John began to wish he a picture of his mom her help got him through a lot he missed her more than anything.

After getting off the bus for the final time stretches and yawns then looks around he was now in San Francisco . The people seemed to be the same here as in his home town Indianapolis but they dressed way different. He was now waiting for his cab to show up and take him to the place name in the paper in his pocket his nerves were beginning to bother him he had no idea of what to expect or if he would make any friends. Part feels they will just find him to be annoying and to into comic books.

He never wanted to be more wrong than he did at that moment. The cab arrives and the driver helps him put his things in the trunk of the cab and they head off. John begins to wonder how Justice Fist would handle it in Wings of Justice he joined the superhero team Strike Force and he adjusted pretty well but then again very few things faze him. He couldn’t help but be surprised by what he saw when he first seen his new home and school in one .

The cab stops and he gets out after removing his things from the trunk of the cab he was happy that all he had was two suit cases and a long box and the thing not on wheels was the long box. He finds himself standing beside a kid who kind of looks like a bug his mom would have freaked out she is afraid of bugs but they didn’t bother him. He gets there in time to hear him say something about pancakes.

The lady in front of him is pretty the streak in her hair was something he had never seen before. John’s mind goes blank for second and then remembers and he thinks he should introduce himself but how he would just wing it.

“Hi my name is John pleased to meet you!”

He has a sinking feeling that he sounded super lame yeah his first chance and he is already proven he annoying he can be. He will just have to stay quiet and listen maybe he will hear something that will help him change that opinion of him. John couldn’t wait to get to his room and unpack and get some sleep on a bed after that he would see if he can use a computer and find himself a new comic book store he was going to miss his old store Fan Boy/Girl Heaven the owner Bill was a awesome guy.

Both boy's reactions are remarkably different, yet both really positive for first meetings.
The bugly one flies up to meet my handshake, his words coming fast as if his mouth can't keep up with his brain.
He really is kinda cute.
The other boy seems rather nice as well, being curtious, as well as answering my question directly and to the point.
I have a side thought of Scott needing to look into getting us some royalties on these 'cards' Bugly seems to recognize me from, but let it pass as both boys say an animal in the room will be no problem for them.
I'm not too sure it's a cat, but I can't say I've gotten to meet Sidney's pet, so I'm not sure what kind of animal it is.
We'll see when we get there.
I log off my own 'desktop', looking up at Bugly's question on the processor.

Tell ya what, if ya'h that interested in how tha computers run aroun' 'ere, Once ya've gotten all settled in, we can talk about it.
I know a few teachers aroun' 'ere that'd love ta 'ave an extra 'and ta 'elp out in tha area."[/glow]

I give both boys a business look while standing back up, motioning towards the door,

Coming around the desk, I list the heaviest of the boy's luggage, my super strength making the move nothing at all, and I leave them their lighter bags, heading out to show them the way.

[glow=green,2,300]"This is tha main 'all, leadin' to tha elevator here.
Now we're all gonna head up ta tha 3rd floor, the boy's dorms, and we're gonna go to room 212.
Once we get there, you're roomie Sidney can help give ya all a better tour of the things ya 'all will want ta know how ta find around 'ere."[/glow]

I lead them up to their room, knocking on the door once.

After lab class I head to the library to take a couple of books out and do more research on my term paper that will be due tomorrow. Also I stayed for a few minutes to see if there were any new books on herbs, I’ve read all the herb books in the school library. Seeing that there were no new books that came in, for now have to focus on the lab term paper. Getting the books that I need to the research I head back to my room. I’ve had the room to myself for a little while and it was pretty roomy though I only use maybe a quarter of the room.
Upon entering the room I noticed something different there was a bunk bed two night stands and two des set on the east and north walls, hmm never noticed them before and if they have been there since I’ve been here never bothered to notice, wonder what is going on? Have to go to the counselor as ask later need to finish the lab paper for tomorrow.
Sitting down at my desk and I work on the lab term paper, I was into the school work and I didn’t notice a knock on the door until I heard a voice asking if I was in the room. I knew the voice it had a southern accent, getting up from the desk picking up Timber and put him back in his corner cage.

Walking to the door and I speak, “I’m here,” opening the door to see Rouge with two other boys that looked around my age, “afternoon Miss Rouge, we have new students?”

[Bugly]

Miss Rogue explains that the computer is alien tech. Alien tech? Like Stargate SG-1? I loved Tealk on that show. He was awesome, and had that funny head marking thing. Star Wars is better though. Lightsabers and blasters, and death stars, and blue milk.

Blue Milk! Seriously that'd be awesome. Really wizard!!!

I always wanted to make a lightsaber, but dad wouldn't buy me the focussing crystals or the lasers for it. Wonder if these guys have some parts I could borrow. bet whoever does their computers has access. Put that right at the top of the list. Dad always said organization was the key to knowing what to do next. plan it out, understand what you're going to do, and then do it. Thats how he got to be successful. That and the IT bubble, whatever that means.

I wonder when lunch is around here. I could go for some food, maybe chocolate donuts, sherbert, strudle, fresh apples, oranges. I hope they don't make you eat veggies and junk. Mommy says my body is designed to consume mostly sugar so thas what I do, try not to touch the other stuff. Makes me sick sometimes. Grain is okay, but meat tastes yucky.

Miss Rogue shows us around and to our room, where we get to meet our roommate. Guess he's our roommate anyway, Miss Rogue says he's named Sidney. Sid maybe? Would you call him Sid? Some people don't like being called by their name, like people call me Bugly sometimes, that isn't very nice. Dad says thats mean, I don't really understand that, its like three letters away from Bugs, that should be okay right?

Anyhow I buzz up and shake his hand, trying to be nice, and say hello.

"Hello Sidney! Do they call you Sid? I don't know, is that considered rude or something? Miss Rogue said you had a cat or something? I like cats and other animals, except for dogs. Dogs bark at me all the time. They're not nice. Whens lunch? I'm starving. Mommy told me to make sure I eat plenty of sugar, keep it up in my bloodstream. Wind down when I don't, get sluggish. Is it cold in here? I like it warm, but Mom says most people like it cooler. Weird. My name is Bugs!"

[Johnny Knuckles]

John watches as Rogue picks up all the luggage that is there he gives a thought about asking if she would like some help but sees she has it handled. He likes hearing he was going to have a couple of roommates being alone is something he didn’t want go through again.

Thinking about what miss Rogue said he wonders what kind of a pet his other roommate has. Hearing the words fury critter in a cage made him think cat maybe he jumped the gun maybe not he was about to find out shortly. He was just going to have to put his books in a safe place no need to tempt fate.

While walking to his new room he begins to wonder what his other roommate was going to be like. He has never seen anyone like the kid who was in front of him he in a way reminded him of Tiggle a man that could turn into any bug near him. Tiggle was a enemy of Justice Fist until he is nearly killed in the mega crossover Owners of Time.

They make it to the room and his nervousness returns the doors opens and he sees his other roommate. He seems like a nice guy in fact the bug guy waste no time introducing himself which John wishes he could be that forward without forcing himself he always feels so awkward when he tries.

He waits while the bug guy talks saying people call him Bugs that was a relief because he wasn’t sure what he could call him that wouldn’t offend. Combing his hair with his left hand he gives a nervous wave with the right.

“My name is John pleased to meet you!”

He reminds himself not to get to nervous today began dull but has since gotten way better. He has met a really pretty lady with a nice voice a cool bug guy and another guy who seems really nice. If the rest of the students here are like the ones it will feel like he has gone to paradise.

He then begins to wonder when were they going to get their schedules for classes and what not. He was going to have to adjust to the new style of teaching and the times his new teacher will be expecting him to be in class by.

“Miss Rogue I was just wondering when will we be getting our schedules I’d like to see one if possible?”

[Rogue]

Sidney answers the door, spotting his new roommates asking if we have new studants, and I nod.

[glow=green,2,300]"Yup, we got two Newbies 'ere, and both o' them are gonna room with you.
Ah was hoping ya might be available ta give 'em a tour o' the place, and help show them around some?"[/glow]

Before he can really answer me, Bugs flies up for his own introductions, and I have to hold back a laugh at his enthusiasm.
And as he's taking Sidney's attention, Johnny comes over to ask me about his schedule.
I nod to him,

[glow=green,2,300]"Ah am workin' on it. I'd like you ta get a bit o' a tour from Sidney 'ere, an come around ta mah office at tha end, Ah should 'ave em done by then."[/glow]

I nod to Sidney, knowing I could count on him for it.

[glow=green,2,300]"Oh yeah, Sidney, if ya need any help on tha tour, go fahnd Kami. She can help. It would be good for tha boys ta meet some o' their fella studants too.
Ah'll see ya boys soon."[/glow]

I head out of the room so they can get better aquanted and onto their introductions without the councelor hanging around. As well as work up their schedules.
It's good to have something to do around here.

((OOC: I'm going to step out of rotation for a while. Don't hesitate to head to the Hanger (where Kami would be) to get some help on the tour. And other X-people should jump in and make some cameos to meet the new kids too!))

Miss Rogue answers my question saying yes they were new students and they would be bunking with me.

Well that would explain the bunks, desks dressers and nightstands, being added to the room hope they will get along with Timber.

One of the new students looked like well I’m not going to even trying to guess and I’m not really sure either. The student has a lot of energy I have to say he flies up to me shaking my hand asking if the other students call me Sidney or Sid he didn’t know and if was rude or something else.

I was about to answer to answer the student question when he said that I had a cat or something else and that he liked cats and other animals expect for dogs and the dogs always back at him all the time, and he continued to talk for a moment then introduced himself saying his name was Bugs.

Standing there I managed to chuckle a little, shaking my head and shaking Bugs hand, “Call me either Sid or Sidney I answer to both, not to worry Bugs and you are not being rude either. As for my furry friend he is a ferret, I’ll show my furry friend later.”

Looking over to the other student he was talking to Rogue for a moment, he looked normal enough then again I look normal anyways it looks like he was nervous can’t blame him for being nervous the other student combs his hair and waves with the other hand, saying he was John.

Stepping over to John shaking his hand, “pleasure meeting you John, I’m Sidney like I said to Bugs you can call me Sidney or Sid I answer to both, and don’t be nervous things will be just fine,” smiling at John.

Hearing Rogue speak again asking me if I had time to give Bugs and John a tour of the school and help them get around also and if I needed any extra help with showing bugs and John around the school all I had to do stop by the hanger and ask Kami and I should have Bugs and John meet the other students of the school.

Looking at the time and the next two periods I don’t have any classes this is my free time in my schedule to catch up some of homework so I wouldn’t have a lot of homework after classes are finished for the day. Looking at Miss Rogue, “I don’t have any classes for the next two periods and I would be delighted to give a tour of the school to Bugs and John Miss Rogue.

Looking at John and Bugs, “Follow me John and Bugs first I’ll show you the main area where the classes will be held then move on to where the cafeteria is and go from there.” I said as I headed to the main area where the classes are held.
