Name: Christopher Daniel ( or CD ) Richardson
Alias/Code Name: Thunderstrike
Age: 25
Character Type: Mutant
Gender: Male
Alignment: Good (mostly)
Appearance: He's 6ft 3, 174lbs. Long dark brown hair tied back in a rat tail, blue eyes, roughly shaven but keeps a bit of a beard on his chin. Well built and muscular.
Personality: He's a bit of an Asshole. Anti-social, short temper, a bit rough around the edges, though once you chip away at his tough-guy exterior he can be somewhat likable.
Likes: Cars, Metal, workouts, Beer, and Cigarettes
Dislikes: Religious whackjobs (Purifiers especially), Robots, anchovies
Strengths: Persistance and loyalty.
Weaknesses: His temper, his Personality, and what he calls "Reality-Lag".
Powers/Weapons:
Classified a mutant, he possesses a multitude of Unique gifts.
He possesses the ability to absorb and re-direct electrical energy. This energy can be created naturally, through sustenance and exercise, or from outside means, such as from electric fences, power lines, and lightening storms, even the slightest static discharge is absorbed by his body. Any stored energies can be re-directed from any part of his body, although points of least resistance… being his hands and feet... work best.
His skeleton is apparently composed of a unique ultra-conductive organic Metal. This further enhances his Electrical abilities, making him not unlike a lightening rod. He can also transform up to 99% of his body into a more porous form of this metal, giving him added durability.
As a Freelance SHIELD Agent, he's qualified in Warsaw Pact Firearms, though he generally doesn't need them. He is a skilled boxer, and posesses increased strength due to physical training.
History (Universe 713): Born of similar origins, this incarnation chose different outlets for his frustrations. He'd eventually grown out of his 'hero' phase and began improving upon his physique. Unfortunately, after he'd taken out several of his tormentors, he became somewhat of a problem child with a bad attitude. As in this world, his abilities where revealed during a Farming accident... only at the cost of his Grandfathers life. Mortified at what he had done, and feeling shunned by his family, he cleaned out his saving and ran, buying a bus ticket for places unknown... unable to face what he had done.
Living on the streets, he used his powers to get by... and almost immidiately came into conflict with a similarly afflicted boy... Lucas Schultz. After a brief skirmish where the two demonstrated their latent abilities... Lucas, seeing the futility in this, proposed a truce of mutual benefit. They went into business together, renting out their powers to get by. Eventually, their activities brought them into conflict with another group... the Runaways. A team consisting of the super powered, and dis-illusioned, offspring of multiple supervillains. After several confrontations, and some serious convincing, the pair joined this little family. And for the first time in a long while, his life began to take on some semblance of normalcy (as much as a kid riding in a mechanical frog could have), even having a breif relationship with the team leader, Nico Minoru (aka Sister Grimm).
Unfortunately, following the Events of M-day... when Acolyte Mother Maximoff used her enhanced mutant abilities to forcibly mutate 92% of the human pupulation, this unraveled as quickly as the world around them.
Some humans accepted their new gifts... while others tried to ignore them (these where called 'honorary flat-scans' or OFF's). Then, there where the extreme cases, those who allready felt a deep-rooted hatred towards mutants suddenly finding themselves the object of their bigotry. Incensed by this self-loathing, they lashed out at anything and anyone they thought responsible... Super Heroes in general.
The anti-mutant zealots known as the purifiers became one of the most prominent threats to super-humans. Veiwing this event as end-time prophecy, the groups leader, the fanatically self-loathing closet mutant known as the Crusader, whipped his followers into a rabid frenzy, spinning the event as end-time prophecy and sending them out to purge the earth of both 'the cursed' and thoes who 'brought gods wrath upon the world'. It was by mere happenstance that the Runaways came across one of these cells. The resulting battle was a bloodbath, as the cybernetic zealots ruthelessly attacked the powerful, yet inexperianced teenagers.
They all would have been killed right there, if not for SHIELD's timely intervention. Operative Graydon Creed made arrangements to have the survivors placed in the Xaviers School until their families could be found. Unable to face going back home, he was one of the few to stay. He and Molly stayed at the institute, being taught to learn to controll their abilities.
Nico, wraught with greif, used her magical abilities to simply dissapear, teleporting to parts unknown. Lukas stayed for a little bit... before running away, eventually joining up with the latest incarnation of the Brotherhood.
Chris continued to use his street name, Thunderstrike, and became a member of the X-men. And while he had mastered his abilities, his attitude still got in the way. About the only person on the grounds who he opened up to was Laura Howlett... the daughter of a member of the staff. The two became close freinds.
Unfortunately, his hot head still generated a lot of trouble for him... after the purifies bombed the school on admissions day, killing 12 and wounding 30, he ran off half-cocked to hunt them down. It became clear it wasn't needed when he stumbled in on the aftermath of a military operation wich slaughtered the cell... an operation perpotrated by recognized mutant criminals and several X-men.... including Laura.
Eventually, he became a probationary member of the Wetworks team called "X-force", a collaboration between the instituted Headmistress and SHIELD. SHEILD's extensive training helped to shake off a good portion of his problems, though not all of them. It suprised many he was able to pull off double Duty as an X-man and as a Sheild Agent.
Eventually, he found himself 'Unhinged' from time, pulled out of his timeline due to temporal paradox where a being called the 'time broker' enlisted him into the Exiles. As a member of this team of other misplaced misfits... he would go from reality to reality, fixing other anomalies. His reward would be the repair of an anomaly in his home reality that, if left unchecked, would result in Laura reverting into a feral state.
