Name: Kalvin "Kal" Reeves
Alias/Code Name: Kryptonite, Meteor Freak (never to his face)
Age: 19
Character Type: Human Mutate
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Appearance: Kryptonite stands six foot four, and weighs 230 lbs. Well built and muscular, he has a strong physical prescence with pronounced muscles, and a cut body. His skin is tan and unblemished, but his veins seem unusually pronounced, and sometimes glow green after a shot. His eyes glow green, and his raven hair is streaked green in places from kryptonite exposure. Kal prefers a thuggish wardrobe of primarily black, generally prefering black studded jeans and t-shirts with strudy but well worn black shitkicker boots, and occaisionally fingerless gloves. His signature wardrobe is his black leather biker's jacket, which has a green tribal pattern stitched into it, and the kryptonite beaded necklace he wears. On the odd occaisions when its nessecery to hide his appearence he wears a black ski mask.
Personality: Kal's continued use of kryptonite steroids have affected his personaliy, making him tend easily towards arrogance and anger, with a distinctly hedonistic side. He very rarely thinks things through before doing them, and never backs down from a fight. In spite of this, he has a fairly good disposition most of the time, and a surprising capacity for loyalty to the few that earn his trust.
Likes: Recreational drugs, booze, easy women, fast cars, heavy metal, and kryptonite steroids
Dislikes: Being told what to do, touchy feely shit, Super heroes, Lexcorp
Strengths: Natural brawler, brave, quick wits
Weaknesses: Kryptonite steroid dependency, arrogance, serious temper, borderline sociopath when dosed on kryptonite
Powers/Weapons: Kryptonite draws all of his enhanced abilities from the kryptonite steroids he's been dosed with. They greatly enhance his strength, durability, speed, and regeneration from injury. Provided that he's dosed with them consistently he's strong enough to knock over an 18 wheeler, run at 60 miles per hour, and take a 50 caliber round to the chest. His powers quickly subside to human levels without a constant supply of the steroids, which he needs a dose of every 24 hours. Missing a dosage also causes him to go into withdrawl. As a result of continued exposure to radiation from the treatments, he has gained limited immunity to kryptonite based radiations. He is proficient with most small arms, though he generally prefers not to carry them on his person.
History: Kal Reeves has been in more institutions than he'd care to think about. Orphaned at a young age, the rebel was bounced around the foster care system for most of his childhood, eventually moving into juvenile detention when his quick temper landed another child in the hospital with a cracked skull. From there it was a quick step to the lower levels of crime, and the allure that drugs offered as an escape from his problem. He started out a drug addict but quickly moved to being an enforcer for a small time pusher, breaking limbs for his fixes.
That came crashing down with a drug raid, and Kal found his erstwhile boss skipping out on him, leaving him as scapegoat for several hundred kilos of product. The trial was quick and dirty, but the prison stay promised to be any but...At least until his psyche profile caught the eye of a scientist looking for a few good test subjects for a Lexcorp project. Named for the son of Apollo, Phaeteon was an attempt by Lexcorp to refine kryptonite into a steroid for use on military troops to improve their physical attributes without the negative side effects so common to most anabolics. Although successful to a limited degree, most of the test subjects eventually died from radiation poisoning or psychosis, leaving Kal Reeve's the only survivor. Naturally when the time came to tie up loose end, the scientist in question found Kal less than willing...and the lab was destroyed with him inside as a result.
Now free from the project, but still tied to it by the hunger for his fixes, Kal has come to the attention of another Lexcorp employee, with even more sinister plans...
