Eddie hovered near the huge plate window, her goggles automatically polarizing so she could see through even with the glare of the fading sun reflecting off the glass.
She could see TylerCo logos on things - stationary, pens, buisness cards. Ted had tried to buy up whatever he could of the original Hourman's firm in the last years of his life, but still most of it had been gobbled up by Wayne Enterprises and Luthor. But this bastion remained, still fighting the good fight... for whatever that was worth.
There had been some notes in Ted's files about potentially interesting research here, things that certain people might want but that TylerCo (with its fading resources) might have trouble protecting if someone really wanted it. So, Eddie had come as BB to see if she needed to spirit away the most dangerous (or most interesting) things.
The Bug was nearby, invisible, but someone would be along eventually... even if just a janitor. Better not to have to explain the girl in the funny suit floating outside. So... time to get on with things.
Eddie produced a small capsule from her suit's belt and sprayed a fine mist onto the glass in a good-sized rectangle. A moment later and she was able to part the the glass like a curtain, pushing the glass to either side of the affected area. A burst of compressed air from her suit pushed her inside. A couple of mental commands had the anti-gravity pod off and static on whatever security cameras were installed. She padded over to a computer console and got to work.
"Ok, what do we have here?" she muttered to herself. "Vitamin studies, hmm. That sounds familiar. Nah, leave it."
She browsed through the files for a bit, knowing she was on a timer. "No. No. No. Boring. No. No... hey. What's this?"
She leaned closer to the screen. "Possible temporal anomaly. Hmm." She read on. "Metallic sphere of uwnknown composition. Kept on...huh?"
She looked up to a shelf nearby, where there was indeed a small metallic sphere. "Hey, cool!"
Eddie stood up quickly, reaching for the thing. As soon as she touched it she knew she had made a mistake. She could feel it vibrate, almost imperceptibly. Her suit began to warn her of sudden tranmissions from her area, some of which were of an odd radiation.
"Uh, oh."
