First Name: Alice
Last Name: Vance
Alias or Nick-name: Girlzilla

Normal sized Height/Weight: 35’6”/ 17 tons
Giant sized Height/Weight: 71’/ 136 tons
Eyes: Brown

Persuasion: Good
Powers/Weapons: Alice possesses superhuman stature as a result of her mutant genes. Starting around her 14th birthday, Alice began to grow rapidly, increasing her height by several feet a day. While her eating did account for some of the gained mass, most of it was acquired from an as of yet unknown extra dimensional source. Now standing more than seven times the height of a normal girl, increasing her body’s abilities proportionally. As a secondary effect, Alice can grow to an even larger height at will, doubling her size.
Size alteration: at will, Alice may grow to double her normal height, adding more than 100 tons of mass to her body to do so. This extra mass is gained from the same extra dimensional source as the one which caused her initial growth. The change is physically and mentally draining, and cannot be maintained for more than an hour without risk to her body. Upon reverting to her normal size, Alice is left exhausted and usually must rest immediately. Her increase in size extends to her clothing, providing that whatever she is wearing is relatively tight fitting.
Superhuman strength: Alice’s strength is, proportionally, only slightly above average for a girl of her height and weight. Her increased size has directly increased her bodies lifting ability. At her normal height, Alice can lift approximately 10 tons, equivalent to a fully loaded school bus. In her giant sized state, her strength is even greater, allowing her to lift 70 tons.
Superhuman damage resistance: Her larger body results in thicker skin and tissue, making her more difficult to harm. At normal size, she is virtually immune to low caliber hand guns, even from close range. Her giant size is able to resist damage equivalent to several pounds of TNT without considerable harm.
Size reduction- Alice can reduce her size to a fairly normal height of about 5 feet tall. In doing so, she doesn’t shed any of her mass, but rather compresses it into a very small area, sharply increasing her density. Being about thousands of times as massive as a normal person compressed to normal size means that Alice becomes thousands of times as dense as a normal person. This makes her entire body similar to lead in its resistance to injury. It would take a typical car traveling at highway speeds impacting her to cause and appreciable damage. Her strength remains fixed at its normal levels, so she can still lift approx 10 tons. Being so dense is also a major hindrance. Since all her weight is focused on the soles of her feet, she crushes most surfaces she stands on. If the floor she’s standing on is not strongly supported, it will break under her and send her tumbling downwards until she impacts a surface strong enough to support her. Her increased density also gives her a large amount of momentum when she moves; making it difficult for her to maneuver as even her great strength is not enough to quickly stop her when she picks up speed. The act of staying compressed is less exhausting than making herself grow, and can be maintained for up to twelve hours before she needs to revert to her normal size. As of yet, Alice cannot perform this ability, but will acquire it upon training with the X-men for a time.
Drawbacks: Being of great size is a severe handicap in most circumstances. Her larger hands makes manipulating of small objects difficult, and even if she gets a hold of them, her strength makes her likely to crush whatever she’s holding. Her larger body also requires much more food to function. On average, Alice eats as much as fifty normal sized humans. Alice is also limited by her inability to enter most normal sized structures. Her great weight means that she leaves huge imprints wherever she walks.
History: Alice was born to two Americans, but raised in Japan. Her father worked for a software company and was forced to move to Kyoto shortly after Alice was born in order to keep his job. Growing up as a child of two cultures, she was bilingual, fluent in English and Japanese. Her childhood was fairly unremarkable. She was never outstanding in sports or academics, but usually averaged to keep her grades around a B.
In high school, Alice expected to have growth spurts, which were normal. What wasn’t normal was leaving for school in brand new cloths and coming home in rages, her outfit pulled so tight that it started to rip. Alice was taken to several doctors, whom were at a loss to explain her condition, as it defied the normal behavior of growth disorders. Within a week, Alice was over fourteen feet tall and reduced to wearing several bed sheets like a toga. By this point it was obvious hat Alice did have any normal medical condition, but that she was a mutant. Her parents tried to give her as normal a life as possible, getting donations to keep her fed and clothed as best they could. She attended school, but was now a freak and outcast who had to look through the classroom window to partake in the lessons.
And she continued to grow. Two months after her mutant genes had activated, Alice towered at thirty five feet tall, now weighting over ten tons. Fortunately by this time, her growth began to slow and finally stop. But Alice got a whole new set of problems. The media caught on to her situation and she became a tabloid feeding frenzy. She was constantly followed by camera men, all wanting an interview or a new insight into the life of ‘Girlzilla’ as the started calling her, along with a few perverts who just wanted a shot up her skirt.
Compounding these difficulties was the other people in her neighborhood, many of whom saw Alice as a freak and a danger. She got complains of all kinds, from road workers who had to repave the streets she walked ever month or so from all the damage she did, to angry citizens who all had a story of how she had accidentally stepped on a bike or how her snoring kept them up at night. But the hardest part was money. Even with all the donations and fundraising they did, her parents were slowly going bankrupt keeping there daughter comfortable. Alice offered to do some part time work, selling herself as advertisement, or doing construction work. It helped, but wasn’t enough.
The final straw was when Alice’s secondary power came to life, and she suddenly found herself grown to even larger sizes. Unused to her new height, Alice had trouble maneuvering in the narrow streets, and caused all kinds of mayhem, crushing cars, knocking over telephone poles. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage, all in the span of a few minutes before she managed to return to her usual size. The following day her parents received an official letter from the city, stating that there daughter had become to much a danger to the city and a drain on its resources. They had 180 days to find a new residence outsize the city limits.
Living outside the city would probably kill Alice. She needed the food and water that was obtained through business in the area, and without those, would starve. Searching desperately for someone, anyone who could help them, Alice’s parents got in touch with a school back in America called the Xavier institute for Gifted Youngsters, and it seemed they were willing to offer Alice a place to stay.
