Classified a mutant, he possesses a multitude of Unique gifts.
He possesses the ability to absorb and re-direct electrical energy. This energy can be created naturally, through sustenance and exercise, or from outside means, such as from electric fences, power lines, and lightening storms, even the slightest static discharge is absorbed by his body. Any stored energies can be re-directed from any part of his body, although he prefers the points of least resistance… being his hands and feet.
His skeleton is apparently composed of a unique ultra-conductive organic Metal. This further enhances his Electrical abilities, making him not unlike a lightening rod. He can also change his hands into a more porous form of this metal.
History:
Chris Richardson was born and raised by an average family in your average Mid-western farming Community, His father tending the local bar in-between harvests and his mother working at the local bank. Even in his early years he never seemed to fit in, his hyperactive imagination fueling the perpetual boredom he began to feel towards life as a mere farm boy. Hs interest turned towards the exploits of superhuman teams, primarily the Avengers. He’d not only watch news reports, but also reading their illustrated exploits in various magazines and novels. This would get him in trouble, as he'd become so enthralled he'd neglect his chores.
Upon reaching puberty he suddenly began to gain weight, a fact that had him, his family, and the local doctor confused considering he was, and still is, ‘as thin as a bean pole’. It wasn’t until a farming accident that the full scope of these occurrences came to light. Needless to say, his Mutantcy didn’t help his social status much, changing him from a mere ‘nerd’ into a ‘dirty mutie’, and making him an even bigger target (and, as he puts it, giving girls a better reason to shut him down). He tried to endure it as best as he could… trying desperately to prove to the town that he wasn’t a monster. Unfortunately, it was to those ends that he engaged in a bout of ‘teenaged stupidity’, when he attempted to interfere in what he thought was a Jock assaulting a cheerleader. The end result was him ending up with multiple contusions and his expulsion from school.
It was then that one of his former teachers, feeling sympathy, went out of his way to contact the Xavier Institute in an attempt to get him some help. The end result was his enrollment as a student. He hopes to one day learn to control his powers, and hopefully end up on the Avengers roster in the Future.
