I'm afraid I've got more PC troubles. Had to take it in again to get her fixed up, so I'll have limited access for the next few days.

I am sorry guys. I never expected this much time to get past me.

Work and the resulting pains from working has worn me down.

When I do get a day off, I usually spend it in bed trying not to feel my back pain.

I have no idea when I can get back to writing.

It's really hard for me to write with everything going on for me right now.

I suppose I should get this up While I have the chance. I just got my computer fixed (again), and I am going to try to catch up some things this week, but we are expecting to have the baby this weekend or the week thereafter, and I don't know how that is going to effect things for a couple of weeks. I am going to be home, and probably around, but I am not sure how tired I am going to be.

The good news is,t he anti-depressants I am on are really helping adn I actually feel like I can write, when I have time and am not sleeping, lol.

So Duncan, Luc/Nyx, Poe, and Oracle will be back as soon as possible. (I think that is everyone that is active right now)

I just got split shift at my job, which means I'll be going in for 4:30 in the morning, and getting off at 4 PM at night....

Yeah...This is seriously going to screw with my personal schedule...But hey, more money, right?

I'm going to try and get back into posting more, but thats going to be a challenge with all of this going on. We'll see how it goes.

I'm not feeling all to well right now. My head is bit fuzzy, and I'd rather not risk too much. I'll be back in a day or so, til I get my head cleared up.

Well, it's time to take my tower and and get my new hard disc put in and hopefully all my issues fixed...

(My computer doesn't load it's OS on startup... this creates a domino effect of worse issues... it's such a pain I gave up fixing it myself weeks ago.)

I have no idea how long I'll be without my personal computer.

I will most likely check in on a different computer, but I'll be limited in what I do, and possibly how long I stay.

I'll use this thread to give updates when I have them.

update: they are able to fix the starting issue, it was as I thought, an advanced bios setting.
*beats head into desk*
I was messing with the exact thing trying to fix it myself.... sooo meany freaking times... I was SOOOO close to fixing it myself numourous times before it became a migrane issue...

Anywhow... one problem fixed, and it was such a simple fix, they aren't going to charge me for that.

Instead I get to pay $120.00 for them to put the new disc in, and load windows and drivers and run all the windows and drivers updates.

Something I can do myself for free.... but it would take me several hours and probably another migrane to finish.... cause after going through this start up problem, just thinking about digging back into computer settings and programmings feelss like a huge pain in the ass.

So it is estimated that my computer will be finished tomarrow night.
Of course, dealing the my work schedule, I'm not sure if I'll have the time to pick it up durring store hours.... so it's a possible night, maybe 2 that I'll be without my computer.

Of course... I'm still going to check in a bit on this lap top.

So I'm not totally without in the meantime.

WOOHOO! got my own computer back!

Of course... the morons I payed to do the work, didn't do the work to my specifications... So... I have allot... ALLOT of stuff to set up, customize, and otherwise get in order.

Good news everyone!

Wow! I remember that first time I took my PC in and got it back in a day. Too bad they didn't do ALL your work for you.

Hope they didn't charge you for what they didn't do.

Herf. I wish Hawkeye. I really do.
I spent over 7 hours lastnight trying to fix critical errors because of the mess they left me with.

I payed them to put the new drive in, load windows, load/update drivers, and run all the window's updates.

They got 2 of 5...

The new drive is in, Windows is loaded.

They didn't load my graphics card RIGHT, and now it gives me the blue screen of death.

They didn't load my audio devices AT ALL, so my computer doesn't have any sound.

Right this moment, I have a fucked work schedule today and I can't really do much about it.

But my plan is to take it to them tomarrow, and demand a refund.

Then I'll bring it back home, format the new hard disk, and start over brand new all by myself.



Oy. I was trying to be nice... ALL I needed was for them to flip my advanced Bios... which was such a tiny thing, they didn't even have a charge for it.

Since they went to the trouble of fixing my ONE vex, I decided to let them finish the rest of the work for $120.00 base price on the loading of windows and running of all the updates.

I could have done all the rest of the work myself... But I figured since I had to take it to them for the small thing, why not pay them to handle the time and headache and tediousness of the rest?

.... this is why.....

Because I could have done it right myself the first time for free.

Alrighty... so... here's the status:

I didn't take it back, I didn't deman money or a fix.

I fixed the audio myself. It's fine. They should have done that, but it's fine.

AND as it turns out, the graphics issue, is not exactly their fault.
They did download the drivers, but the card I have is not the best, and it's now shooting manufacturing errors that crash my computer when I load my browser.

After a TON of study on the issue, I've come to find that this error is pretty widespread for ATI cards, and it seems the rehashing of hard drives just brought it out in spades for me.

So, I'm getting a new graphics card today.

of course, I work closing tonight, so I'm not sure what all I'm going to get done for this.

I should have it all working and perfectly upgraded and brand new and working tonight though.
