As always, when I'm in the mood to sing, this place is here, thumping with lots of people. It's a good crowd. The song I have is a little on the... dark side... I totally blame my writer for her feelings of gothique romance over this song. (She thinks it's fitting in a sexy way.) I spy something beginning with s...
on candystripe legs the spiderman comes softly through the shadow of the evening sun stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead looking for the victim shivering in bed searching out fear in the gathering gloom and suddenly! a movement in the corner of the room! and there is nothing i can do when i realize with fright that the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight!
quietly he laughs and shaking his head creeps closer now closer to the foot of the bed and softer than shadow and quicker than flies his arms are all around me and his tongue in my eyes "be still be calm be quiet now my precious boy don't struggle like that or i will only love you more for it's much too late to get away or turn on the light the spiderman is having you for dinner tonight"
and i feel like i'm being eaten by a thousand million shivering furry holes and i know that in the morning i will wake up in the shivering cold
and the spiderman is always hungry...
"Come into my parlour", said the spider to the fly... "I have something... "((The Cure, Lulliby))

The intro of "Sing for the Moment" by Aerosmith begins playing and the beat continues on though the song.
These ideas are nightmares to your parents Whose worst fear is a child who wears masks and likes wearing tight leggings. Like whatever they woulda said has no bearing It's so scary In the the company of folks without barriers I jumped around with green jeans starin Alone in his own zone He watched me fight against my addiction I have a problem and can't get out I guess I cant expect my adopted pops ta help me out But he cared enough to help me out But along game a canary and straightened me out. If I ever fuck up again she'll probably knock me out My thoughts are whack So mad I want to give back 'Brainwashed' from this or that I put on my red hood, mask and slacks. And a red bag of traps. My step daddy hit and told me to hit him back I broke his nose and he took me home Taught me bout control, and how my emotions can take a toll.
(the chorus of"Sing for the Moment" plays)
The hero game is changin Chasin down gangtas and catchin killers It takes a sinners mind to know the difference Homies trained me in the defense Use ta be the gun, but now its only the arrows that pops showed me Yet others think that they can relate Robin's tellin me that I can be great But I could degrade And show what it means to hate But then I think how these kids hang on every statement I make cause they worship us and every move that we make Now how the fuck did this metamorphosis happen From a baby to a junkie, a side kick, and finally a Leaguer. But now my fans crucify and make my actions seem meager. Their quick ta turn on you Your fans ready to drop the dime one you They want me to lose my mind every time I get mad So they can make me out to be a loose cannon They think any situation is gonna make me produce guns But ya see I got the canary to keep me on these streets To clean the scum off quickly. And all the kids follow me religiously So I'm signin arrows while the police question me. Ollie's judgin me while canaries praisin me If I wasn't ready wouldn't they be tellin me? It's all political. My intention are intentional But if I'm a criminal How can I send someone else to jail I've changed thanks to a lil birdy If ya break the man then its my fist that hits ya
(Loop Chorus)
They say heroes can alter moods and inspire you Well can it load up a gun for you and cock it too Well if it can then the next time you stop a crime just tell the judge it was my fault and I'll get sued Ya see when we shoot arrows and blast our pistols the kids wanna get one to be like us Not knowin we're really protectin them We're heroes, of course its affectin our rep, you ignoramus. But what we do is necessary for the greater good Then i get my check in the mail. It's fuck up ain't it How I could come up be an addict To gettin anything automatic That's why I fight for these kids who don't have a thing Except for a dream and a hero magazine who who pin up pictures on their wall all day long idolize they favorite heroes and know who they've saved Or for any hero that's ever been through shit in there lives Till they sit and cry at night wishin they'd die till they throw on a news reel and they sit, and chill We're everything to you but we're fuckin nothing in their eyes That's why we seize the moment. We're just trying to freeze it and own it. Squeeze it and hold it Cause I consider my time with the arrow and the bird golden And maybe they'd admit it when I'm gone. Just let our spirits live on, through our mercy that you see in our actions and we can
(chorus again) ((Inspired by "Sng for the Moment" by EMINEM"))

So I got some down time tonight, but I can't sleep. Roy told me he'd be at the "In the Mood" kareoki bar. I guess i could meet him there. As a matter of fact, I've been thinking of a time in my life with the Bats that I think matches a song perfectly.
The Robo-bouncer lets me in without a hassle and I see Red lettin some steam off with his lyrics. Singing's underestimated in the hero community. Its a great release. Now that Roy's done though it's my turn.
All night I've thought about the first time Gotham went ta shit while I was Bats sidey. When things got too bad he told me to get the *explative* outta there. And this song sticks out as close example of how I felt.
The DJ had already been told of my selection. The rest was up to me.
(Loud screeching guitars blair before any discernable music begins)
OOooh thought it was a nightmare Though it comes so true They told me don't go walkin slow The devil's on the loose
Better run through the jungle Better run through the jungle Better run through the jungle Don't look back ta see
Thought I'd heard a rumblin Callin to my name 200 million guns are loaded Satan cries take aim
Better run though the jungle Better run through the jungle Better run through the jungle Don't look back ta see
Over one the mountain Thunder magic spoke Let the people know my wisdom Fill their land with smoke
Better run through the jungle Better run through the jungle Better run through the jungle Don't look back ta see
((Run through the Jungle by Creedance Clearwater Revival))

Alright I soo Totally had with where I work I can't take the BS from them anymore and I finally said take this job and shove it up your butt! because I'm taking the highway and also see you later, I'm Gone!
Take the highway Lord knows I've been gone too long Lot of sad days, yeah One day you'll turn around and I'll be gone And the time has finally come for me to pack my bags and walk away Hear me say... I'll be back someday But darlin' please don't wait for me too long There's just one place I can't stay Memories of your love still linger on And the time has finally come for me to pack my bags and walk away Here me say.... Take the highway Take the highway Take the highway And the time has finally come for me to pack my bags and walk away Here me say...
See You later, I'm Gone! I've been thinkin' about the way you've been doin' me, now for a long long time. When a woman acts the way you do, well somewhere ya have to draw the line.
Empty liquor bottles, and crowded bar rooms, seems to be your home. Now that I know the way you feel for me, I guess it's time for me to move on.
I have tried everything, to make you see my way. But now I'm tired of being made a fool, I beleive it's time I had my say, aw ya.
Empty liquor bottles and crowded bar rooms, seems to be your home. Now that I know the way you feel for me, I guess it's time for me to move on.
Goodbye woman, I'm leavin' you, so long heart ach, so long. I hope you're happy somewhere down lover's lane, see you later I'm gone. Goodbye woman, I'm leavin' you, see you later I'm gone.
Both songs are by The Marshall Tucker Band.

This for my boy Krypto
He shoulda watched out for that van, before it smashed him. I went and sniffed at him my nose fool of flem He smelled OK Maybe just sleeping I'll come and check on you maybe next weekend
I ate a squirrel and I liked it and his acorn flavored intestines I ate a squirrel just to try it I hope its mate ain't watchin
It tasted wrong It tasted good Don't mean you shouldn't feed me tonight
I ate a squirrel and I liked it (I liked it)
No, I don't know from where it came it doesn't matter Your road kill, therefore free game Just doggy nature Its not what good dogs do if you seen, you'd say "Behave" My head gets so confused, Hard to obey
I ate a squirrel and I liked it and his acorn flavored intestines I ate a squirrel just to try it I hope its mate ain't watchin
It tasted wrong It tasted good Don't mean you shouldn't feed me tonight
I ate a squirrel and I liked it (I liked it)
We dogs are so lovable Soft fur, wet nose, so pet-able Hard to resist, so incorrigible I can't deny it so what's the deal its expected
I ate a squirrel and I liked it and his acorn flavored intestines I ate a squirrel just to try it I hope its mate ain't watchin
It tasted wrong It tasted good Don't mean you shouldn't feed me tonight
I ate a squirrel and I liked it (I liked it)

I can do it, I can run, I can hunt you down. You can try, but you can't stop me 'cause I'm gaining ground. I'm light on my feet and I'm quick to the punch. I had a heavy breakfast, but a real light lunch. I'm a raging bonfire, a cherry bomb, I'm me.
I'm rough-and-tumble, I'm the one to beat, I'm a fresh coat of blacktop burnin' at your feet. I've got a poisonous sting, when I rain I pour. I'm the best of the best, I'm the soupe du jour.
I'm smooth as glass, and sharp as a tack, I'm me. I'm the last and best stick of gum in the pack, I'm me.
I'm a strong woman, fast-talking, big-bad-dog walking, High falutin', drum-beatin', foot stompin', corn-poppin', Speeding locomotive that just won't stop! I'm a hot apple pie with a cherry on top!
I'm a crowd pleasin', head spinnin', Winnin' in the ninth inning, Whip-lashing, record-smashin', Black-tie party crashing!
Cyclone of fun, I'm an army of one! I'm strawberry sprinkles on a hot cross bun!
I'm a big haymaker in a title fight. I'm a cute black kitten with a nasty bite. I'm an action double-feature on a Friday night!
I'm me!
